Hello- you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe s Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player

Whenever I try to watch something at any site it says Hello- you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe s Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player. But I checked and I DO have JavaScript turned on and whenever I try to download the flash player from ANY site it doesnt work! What should I do??

New Mail is great- but tonight I started getting messages saying that my computer couldn t load mail javascript files. What can I do to correct this. I would hate to go back to Mail Classic.

and i am also unable to sign in- the page keeps loading forever but nothing happens. i used to watch movies on crunchyroll few times before but now i just can t and i don t know why. i ve enabled javascript and my notebook has Adobe Flashplayer. so what s wrong?? can someone please tell me....i really need help.

I have a drop down menu coded in HTML and CSS that works in all major browsers including IE6. I have main categories and under them i have sub categories. For example one main category is "Popular search engines" and one sub category is "Yahoo". Whenever someone hovers over a main category a background image "appears" ( a:hover produces a background image behind text) however when they hover over a subcategory the background image behind the main catergory dissappears because it is no longer hovered. I tried everything i could with HTML and CSS to try and fix this problem but i can t get a grasp on it. Basically i need to know if there is a way to "fake" a mouseover using javascript so the main categories background appears while the subcategories are hovered. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I am looking for answer to question 2 and 3 in the following javascript quiz.

http://referencedesigner.com/tutorials/js/js_quiz.php?n=1

<html>
<head>
<title> </title>
</head>
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
//The PHP is validating the validity of the name entered in the //text tile.
var http = false;
if(navigator.appName == "Microsoft Internet Explorer")
{
http = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
}
else
{
http = new XMLHttpRequest();
}

function try()
{
document.getElementById( foo ).innerHTML = http.responseText;
}

function validate(user)
{
http.abort();

// Need to investigate why even after commenting the above statement it is still working

http.open("GET"-"validate.php?name=" + user- true);
http.onreadystatechange=function()
{
if(http.readyState == 4)
{
//document.getElementById( foo ).innerHTML = http.responseText;
try();
}
}
http.send(null);
}

</script>

<h1>Please choose your username:</h1>

<form>
<input type="text" onkeyup="validate(this.value)" />
<div id="foo"></div>
</form>

</body>
</html>

I could not run programs on javascript and java applets. I use internet explorer for the purpose

It either says that or it says javascript error. i cant even edit my yahoo avatar- because of this problem! Whats going on and can it be fixed by a simple download?

I ve created a website that displays my works in graphic design- illustration- and fine art in Microsoft FrontPage 2002 and I m trying to create popup windows by clicking on image maps in order to view the pages on Firefox or any other browser. Is there a code for that?

Alright- let me start out by explaining what my site is about- so you can get an idea. I am going to create an online "store" where people can upload their digital files they made and either make them free to download or let them make a price.

From this I have a few questions:
1. Would I need to learn javascript or can I keep on with PHP- or would I need another language?
2. How would I prevent people from simply passing around the download link?
3. I know I will need to write a Terms of Agreement- anyone know a good place thats shows how it is structured?
4. Color themes...I can t think of what colors I should go for. Blue + Silver + Black- or maybe a more bright combination Orange + Blue + ?

Thanks- I really appreciate your help.

I know a bit of HTML- CSS- and JavaScript. However- I am trying to code a page that will be cross-platform and cross-browser friendly (i.e. the content will show up identically- which is a huge problem with Internet Explorer s non-compliance).

Additionally- my school has JavaScript blocked- so any web resources that use JavaScript are out of the question. =(

I need something that is powerful and can allow me to absolutely position as many elements as I want- define depth levels- allow me to specify areas (i.e. DIV tags) with dynamically-defined heights and widths- etc.

Can anyone give me suggestions on (a) the language- (b) what resources I would need to work with it (i.e. compilers- programs- etc.)

NOTE: I loathe "wizards." Dreamweaver = the devil.
Does PHP require something like Apache? And if so- can one "bounce" one s scrips off one s own computer- or does it require a dedicated computer?

Ok-so when i go into my myspace page-i can t hear my profile song because apparently i either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia s Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player. That s what my profile says.So i click the here part & it asks me if i can agree & intsall now so i click that & it tells me to click the gold bar below my address bar-BUT NOTHING POPS UP!i need help!!am i doing something wrong??or wat?!help me!

Every few weeks for some reason my computer tells me I need to install the latest flash player- which is rubbish as I already have it. The other option it says is to turn on javascript. What step by step process allows me to turn the poxy thing back on?
I usually do a system restore then it comes back- there must be an easier way?

When you hit a (BUTTON)- a "quiz" prompt will show up on the screen.
The prompt will ask [What is the weight of (ITEM)?]

When answered- it will tell you if the answer is right or wrong.
If the user doesn t answer (or hits CANCEL)- quiz skips to next (ITEM).

If the answer is RIGHT = proceeds to next (ITEM).
If the answer is WRONG = skips to the next (ITEM).

If an (ITEM) gets skipped- after all have been answered- all skipped will
get looped until they have all been answered correctly.

After all questions are answered correctly- page is redirected to another URL

I want to watch youtube videos- but this message always appears.

"Hello- you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe s Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."

Youtube worked perfectly with internet explorer.

I tried to download the plug in "Adobe Flash Player"
It says Adobe Flash Player Not available- and it has a little tab that says manual install.

Even like that it wont install.

Having trouble getting videos to play because of active x controls. Have installed and un-installed flash player with no positive results. This is the error message: Hello- you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe s Flash Player. When attempting to download flash player it will not download. However- it says it has downloaded but still get the same error message. Please help.

also- i m trying to click on my goal at the start of the program but my computer wont go anywhere no matter how much i click it!! it says there s a javascript error or something

Hi- I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I m trying to make a quick "alert" game where you guess a random number between a set of them- and when you get the answer right- the window shows you how many tries it took you. This is where I start getting confused. Here s what I came up with so far:

<script language="javascript">

var g
for (g=0;answer!= guess; g++)

do{
guess = prompt ("guess a number between 1- 10 please"- "")

if (isNaN (guess) || guess == null)
alert ("not a number ")

else if (guess > answer)
alert ("no- try again")

else if (guess < answer)
alert ("no- try again")

else
alert ("yes!")

} while (guess!= answer)

if (answer = guess)
{ document.write (g + "tries") }

</script>

Where the second "if"statement is where I m trying to make the counter.I wanted to make a for loop like: "whenever you get an answer wrong- add a number to variable g"- but that didn t work out too well.
I forgot to add the variables "guess" and "answer". Sorry.

I ve made the recommended changes- but it is still throwing an error in IE. Here s what i have:

(yes- i know it doesn t have a pointer on hover) :)

I mean WTF youtube videos only work for FireFox on my computer? If I try to go to youtube on IE- I get the messege "Get the lasest flash...enable javascript blah blah blah..." I HAVE THEM BOTH. What the hell is wrong with IE? And NOTHING that requires Java or flash works on IE. Only FF...Help?

So i keep getting this thing when i try to see a video about turning on javascript and downloading the new adobe flash.
i did BOTH things and it STILL isnt working?!
please help!
(I have internet explorer)

So my flashplayer all of a sudden stopped working..I already tried downloading it again and again and it still doesn t work. [Well- everytime that I downloaded it- it says on the Adobe site that It has been installed . But... When I try to watch videos on youtube- it says that I need Flashplayer to watch these videos.] My Javascript is enabled so I don t know what the problem is.
Somebody help...Please.

I am facing an problem while preparing my site. I have used the Javascript- Flash File along with HTML. When the page opens than the information bar shows at the top about the Active X Control. Only after enabling that Active X or by changing the Active X settings from the security option (which is required to change on each user pc which is not possible) to see the animations and all the other functions. But usually the site which already launched does not show this kind of problem.

Like the site www.santabanta.com which uses the Flash document along with huge Javascript and html coding but there is no sign of such a problem.

Please reply. I will definately choose you answer as the best one.

it ll be showing me login error and or unable to download mail javascript file
