Scripting and java are enabled under.. internet options->security->custom... but i still keep getting messages that say javascript is turned off or i have an old version then when i go to the website to go try and download it it wont let me i click on the link but nothing happend then i tryed something called download manually i think but it starts off but then i get and eroor message saying internet explorer was unable to open this internet site.the request site is either unavailabe or cannot be found.please try again later

I d like to make a javascript chat app- but I keep running into the problem of how do I SEND a message to a user from the server without having him check with me all the time.

I have tried to make the browser check back with the server every 1.5 seconds- but the cost of CPU and RAM is prohibitive.

How can I push a message through? Is there a channel or something that I can use?
I know gmail manages to have communication through AJAX without having to check every second...

I need some help stripping a website of a javascript application to install straight onto my blackberry.

I visit this particular site quite often- but it loads so slow on my phone and i d prefer just to strip a .jar file and load it straight to my phone.

are there any ways of doing this? there used to be a greasemonkey script that would do it for you- but for some reason i cannot relocate it.

And if it is not on how do you turn it on?
