we are building a new website - we have tested the checkout page to work with javascript turned on and off - the payment provider has said the checkout page only works with javascript on - how big is this problem? or is it small?

can any1 write a script for javascript/greasemonkey that autoloads a set of urls that have a number appended to the end for example..it loads www.whatever(x).com where x would be a constantly changing number?

So all links that are javascript on myspace apparently won t work for me currently- and often (i.e. updating the status- going to a different page on the friends list- etc.). I have Mozilla Firefox and I m still on slow speed dial-up *sigh... All of the links that do not say javascript or w/e work fine. Is there anything I can do to make the javascript work- or any tips I guess- without having to go high speed (I can t get high speed or wi-fi in this area)? Any help would be great!
I m not adding anything- for the properties it says those links- that myspace has created- are javascript. I m just trying to use those links to update my status and view my friends list.

I am running a script on a page and I would like the user to enter username and password- click on submit and have the page open in a new window. For some reason I cannot figure this out - I can get the credentials to work- but the page opens over itself. HELP!

Seeking code (HTML- DHTML- or Action-Script or JavaScript) that will automatically change the images or text files on my website at specific time intervals.

Example: Every hour- the main text on my home page should change to another text file. Or every time a person checks back at my page- the system recognizes their ID so shows them another main picture on the homepage.

I m doing a website html/css and some javascript. The website looks fine on my laptop 1280x800 and desktop 900x1140 in IE/nn/ and firefox. I checked different browsers/resolutions online and it looks fine. I then checked it on my parent s monitor which is really small and it displayed all wrong. the top menu bar goes out farther- the dividing vertical lines between the menus extend lower than the bar- and the text columns doesn t display the way I want it - it breaks to the next line as of the text is larger. I thought it was the size of the monitor shrinking my design while leaving the text size the same- but then I opened the site in netscape navigator and it looks the way it should. The problem was with internet explorer and it is the last version.. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this?

This is the first non-personal website that I do that will be published- so I really need to make sure that I check for errors and stuff... thanks!

For some odd reason- YouTube and NewGrounds videos won t run on my computer. Makes me quite angry. I deleted everything on my computer (everything that was downloaded) a couple weeks ago. And now- there are certain things on the internet that won t play. It always says there s something wrong with JavaScript. It says it s off or that I don t have the newest version. I do have the newest version- and it is definately on. Help as soon as possible- it s getting on my nerves.

I m good with php; not so good with javascript- but I think javascript is what I need for this problem: :: :: :: I have a need to display variables with lines drawn between them. Basically- if the variable is an "A" draw right a quarter inch and put an "A" then if the the next variable is a "B"- draw a line a quarter inch up and put a "B"- if it s "C"- draw a diagonal line and put a "C".

this is the javascript function that I ve wrote that have the replace function in it. I ve manage to replace the SPACE to a DASH. I m trying to create a website and I m expecting for it to be a bit big- 200 pages or so. For it- I d like to use a menu- something like java script or something- but because the sections will be somewhat create as we go - I know that I ll be doing a lot of updating in the menu.

To the point now- I m having trouble finding a "how to" for creating a external menu (in javascript or other- doesn t mater) so that I can make changes to that file rather then make the menu changes in every page (that includes the links- not just the code a la usual external javascript menu).

I am using Dreamweaver to create the site- but am not limited to that program. Free program and/or purchase software is ok. (the marvel of college- you can find almost every high profile program available for student use :P )

Hello- I m wondering if it s possible to have a certain tag that always has an attribute.

NOTE: brackets [] are being used as <> to display correctly.
For instance- lets say I have an anchor [a]. I want all anchor tags on the page to have the attribute "target= _blank ". Normally I d have to type ALL links as [a href="hrefgoeshere" target="_blank".

I m wondering if there is a way implenting Javascript (or anything else for that matter) that can do this. Kinda like CSS- where you can declare a tag to have specific styles (i.e. a {text-decoration:none;}).
